 JOB SUMMARY: 

RafterOne is looking for a UX/UI Design Lead to join its Digital Experience Practice (DxP).

IIn this role, you will oversee design across all phases of UX engagements for our B2B and B2C clients. You will be involved in pre-sales and discovery, concept development, final designs, implementation, QA support, and launch. As a senior member of the Digital Experience team, you will drive design efforts by applying user-centered design principles while collaborating closely with clients and cross-functional project contributors. Prior agency experience with both B2B and B2C clients is highly preferred.

This is a full-time, remote role based in the United States.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Develop and champion user-centered design processes, guiding internal and external cross-functional teams toward impactful design solutions.

· Create UX design deliverables based on research findings and best practices, including high-fidelity mockups, clickable prototypes, interaction design, and comprehensive design documentation, while overseeing quality and consistency.

· Design mobile-first solutions optimized for scalability, performance, and accessibility across all viewports and devices.

· Develop and maintain style guides, UI kits, and design systems, along with detailed design specifications and annotations, to ensure seamless handoff to development teams.

· Leverage available research to inform design strategy and decision-making, with the ability to independently conduct research, usability testing, and validation exercises when needed.

· Lead and manage client presentations, workshops, and requirements-gathering sessions, aligning design outcomes with overall business goals.

· Mentor and guide junior designers, providing constructive feedback, guidance, and oversight to maintain high-quality deliverables.

· Lead and support business development efforts by contributing design expertise to high-profile pursuits, pitches, estimates, and proposals to secure strategic client engagements.

· Oversee design QA and launch readiness reviews, ensuring alignment with design specifications, usability standards, accessibility, and brand consistency.

Requirements

  

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

· 8+ years as a UX design practitioner.

· A design-related bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

· A portfolio of strategic UX engagements and strong examples of high-quality UX/UI design work.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

· Expert-level proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with a strong understanding of design systems, advanced prototyping, and collaborative workflows.

· Keen attention to detail, coupled with a data-driven design approach and a refined visual aesthetic.

· Deep knowledge of user-centered design principles and methodologies, with experience applying them to complex and multi-disciplinary projects.

· Demonstrated ability to lead UX workshops, facilitate client collaboration, and apply design-thinking techniques to align project outcomes with business goals.

· Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Solid understanding of development processes, web-based frameworks, and advanced accessibility standards.

· Previous agency experience, with a strong track record of working on both B2C and B2B platforms, is preferred.
