Description
The Deputy Project Director will assist the Project Director in managing a dynamic team and all aspects of program development and execution, supporting the National Science Foundation's (NSF) Convergence Accelerator program. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong organizational skills to ensure the timely execution of deliverables related to communications, 508 compliance, graphics, event planning, and program development.
Responsibilities:
- Under supervision of the Project Director, manage budgets, timelines, staffing, and subcontractors to ensure effective project planning and execution.
- Coordinate strategic planning, creative development, and project management activities to align with organizational goals and objectives.
- Assist the Project Director in developing and implementing operational procedures to standardize workflows, ensure timeliness, and maintain quality control for written, design, video, digital, and social media deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of multimedia content across various platforms and mediums.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and vendors to support program objectives.
- Lead client and internal meetings as requested.
- Be available to Project Director and team to support as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years in program management (or similar).
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across teams and departments.
- Creative problem-solver with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and partners.
- Experience or interest in collaborating with scientific agencies.
