Job Title: Help Desk Technician (DoD)

Job Location: Fully Remote 

Job Type: Full time 40 hours 

Travel Requirement: Up to 50% 

Security Clearance: Secret 


Job Description:

Maintain responsibility for serving as a Helpdesk Technician for several products to include a GOV MDM. Provide timely assistance to help desk trouble tickets. Develop a list of best practices and troubleshooting steps to provide all customers. Provide expertise during all phases of a GOV MDM for both DOD and commercial instances. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, be a self-starter and able to work with little to no oversite.  


Responsibilities:

  • Proficiency in Linux, Windows, Android & iOS operating systems.  
  • Ability to deploy, manage and maintain Hypervisors to include Virtual Box and Hyper-V. 
  • Ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively. 
  • Capture bug reports and help write improvement documentation. 
  • Serve as a Tactical Network and Mobile Systems Integration SME for the customer.    
  • Server management to include building, maintaining and training on OpenVPN Server, Email servers, Active Directory, Open LDAP servers. 
  • Certificate Authorities to include Trust chain, CA management, Intermediate CA’s, Client CA’s, Server CA’s 
  • Configuration, support, and troubleshooting expertise in computer, server, and network environments. 
  • Conduct demonstrations, set up and administer demo/trial servers. 
  • Apply STIG configurations to multiple different operating systems 
  • Travel in support of customer training and installation events. 
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in current Microsoft desktop and Azure server operating systems. 
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills for resolving issues with complex systems. 
  • Familiarity with TAK and Mission Command Systems, along with experience in fielding Army systems. 
  • Knowledge of network encryption methods, both hardware and virtual. 
  • Familiarity with mobile device management tools and policy management. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office Tools, data management, analysis, standards, and communication skills (verbal and written). 
  • Expertise in Network Operations Convergence technical design, methodologies, project, and process. 
  • Cloud infrastructure and architecture knowledge. 
  • Understanding of firewalls, ports, and protocols. 
  • Experience in deploying and troubleshooting containerized services. 
  • Ability to review logs and analyze data. 
  • Familiarity with VPNs, DNS, and scripting (Linux OS). 
  • Understanding of Active Directory, x509 public key PKI, client and server certificates, and certificate authorities. 
  • Must be a US citizen and pass a background check and drug screening 


Preferred Experience:

  • Linux 
  • Docker 
  • Ansible 
  • Postgres database management, CLI database manipulation, CLI database queries
