Description

Position: Professional Land Surveyor 

Location: Successful applicant will join the Survey Team based in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. However, in addition to Coeur d’Alene, the successful applicant may have the option to be based out of one of our other nearby offices; including: Moscow, Idaho, Spokane, Washington, or Clarkston, Washington depending on experience. 


Position Overview:

The purpose of J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc. (J-U-B) is “Helping Each Other Create Better Communities.” We foster a teamwork environment to solve problems that improve society – while providing employees growth opportunities.  We are recruiting for a Professional Land Surveyor to perform work on projects throughout North Idaho and Eastern Washington.

 

While applying technical land surveying knowledge and skills, this position will:

  • Oversee survey projects and responsibilities in the office working with survey and project teams. 
  • Provide direction and mentorship to survey technical team members.
  • Coordinate with field crew manager and crews during projects 
  • Assist with bids, development and closeout of survey projects.
  • Prepare and coordinate boundary surveys and construction staking utilizing AutoCAD, GPS knowledge, and Trimble Business Center.
  • Prepare legal descriptions for properties, roads, easements, rights-of-way, etc.
  • Oversee and develop subdivision plats and Records of Survey.
  • Collaborate with in-house Engineers on projects.
  • Assist with client relationships and meetings.
  • Represent company to outside agencies.
  • Travel to survey sites.
Requirements
  • Current Idaho and/or Washington Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) License. If currently licensed in another State, must have the ability to obtain licensure in both Idaho and Washington within 1 year. 
  • 5-10+ years of post-licensure experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and ability to utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center.
  • Experience effectively managing multiple, complex survey projects
  • Good organizational skills and experience managing teams
  • Proven client interfacing skills
  • Willing to work in inclement weather and all type of terrain.

Additional beneficial experience include:

     o Operating drones for topographic surveying and processing the resulting data 

     o Operating and processing LIDAR scanning equipment and data

     o Geodetic control networks


Salary Range:   

$40-$44 per hour determined by experience.
