RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform all assigned Mechanical and Electrical duties in a safe, and cost-effective manner. Minimize downtime by providing fast and accurate troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, maintaining, servicing, calibrating, installing and configuring of related manufacturing and production equipment. Utilize our CMMS system executing work orders, PM’s and parts management. Communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, contractors and managers. Maintain necessary records and documents of work performed. Lead position reporting to the Maintenance Manager or General Manager.

REQUIREMENTS
- One of the following experience levels in Maintenance:
- 7-years+ experience as an Industrial/Manufacturing Maintenance Technician with strong electrical knowledge, skills, and abilities
- 2 years trade/technical school in a related field plus 5-years’ experience
- Electrical engineering degree plus 3-years Industrial/Manufacturing maintenance experience
- Must have Advanced mechanical and electrical/technical troubleshooting aptitude, with emphasis on PLC troubleshooting
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and work well with co-workers and contractors
- Work in and maintain a team environment
- Able to stand for extended periods, climb, kneel, squat and crawl
- Lift and carry materials and equipment of 50 LBS or less
- Maintain a clean working environment following all GMP’s and company policies and procedures
- Work flexible hours when needed
- Rotating on call if applicable and work overtime as required
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Working Knowledge –
- Knowledge of Electrical equipment and instrumentation or controls
- Must know relay and control logic, understand basic principles of control voltage (24v and 110v)
- AC & DC motors, motor controls and MCC for the facilities
- Electrical distribution and related equipment
- AC Variable Frequency Drives/DC Variable Speed Drives
- Programmable Logic Controllers and automated equipment
- Have knowledge in pneumatic equipment and troubleshooting
- General Industrial or Manufacturing standards & practices including OSHA standards and GMP’s
- Read, interpret and understand measurements via tape measure, calipers, or micrometers
- Ability to identify different roller chains, types of bearings and anything related to mechanical conveyance.
Skills & Abilities –
- Troubleshoot PLC hardware
- Operate electrical test equipment and interpret results
- Read, understand, and make use of associated drawings, schematics, and diagrams
- Prepare accurate documents
- Understand, interpret, and apply wiring schematics and EM manuals
- Adapt to innovative technologies i.e., robotics
- Plan, organize and prioritize work activities and duties
- Multitask and work in a fast paced and stressful environment
- Ability to work in wet, cold, hot, or humid environments when needed
- Plumbing skills i.e., PVC and brass
- Fabrication work, use of drill press, Milling machine, etc.
- Basic welding, Stainless Tig welding a plus
