The Human Resources Manager leads Prosperity Now’s comprehensive HR functions with a focus on equity and inclusion. Key areas of responsibility include talent acquisition, employee experience, compensation and benefits, performance management, and HR compliance.
Reporting Structure: Reports to Vice President of Operations
Talent Acquisition and Management:
- Manage end-to-end talent acquisition, including recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.
- Guide managers through hiring, promotions, and transfers.
- Facilitate a comprehensive onboarding experience and ensure smooth offboarding, conducting exit interviews and analyzing trends.
- Manage off-boarding and conduct exit interviews for departing staff and compile exit reports to identify trends and propose relevant solutions to head of department; and lead offboarding process including final pay, benefits review, and transition logistics.
Employee Experience
- Coordinate staff engagement, culture, and recognition activities.
- Drive staff engagement and recognition programs.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Serve as a key advisor for employee relations, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
- Provide career coaching and guidance on performance management.
- Provide staff with guidance on human resources policies, practices, and solutions.
- Provide preliminary coaching and counseling to employees seeking career advice and create learning paths for future career advancement.
Compensation & Benefits Administration
- Support salary administration, recommend compensation adjustments, and advise on pay decisions.
- Manage benefits programs, oversee payroll, and ensure alignment with market trends.
- Lead employee welfare, safety, wellness, and health initiatives.
- Manage payroll processing and submission including creating and ensuring proper documentation trail for any additions, changes and updates to standard payroll and entering changes into Paylocity as appropriate.
- Compile and submit semi-monthly and quarterly retirement contribution reports to Principal in accordance with ERISA.
- Coordinate and manage annual open enrollments, retirement processing, and leave management.
- Oversee 403(b) retirement plan, including annual compliance testing, 403(b) semi-monthly contribution processing, reconciling participant contribution elections and liaising with Finance Team on annual 5500, 8955 and 990 audit reporting.
Performance Management & Professional Development
- Implement performance management processes and succession planning.
- Deliver training programs and collaborate on organization-wide learning initiatives.
- Conduct needs assessments and facilitate career development planning.
- Develop and conduct HR internal trainings for staff; and collaborate organization wide internal training with outside vendors.
- Conduct periodic needs assessments to determine when training is necessary, and the type of training necessary to improve performance and productivity.
- Gather and conduct monthly HR data analytics.
- Manage training calendars and communications.
Administration & Compliance
- Manage and troubleshoot Paylocity, HRIS system, and maintain accurate employee records.
- Prepare HR analytics and reports, ensuring compliance with employment laws.
- Coordinate HR communications and ensure timely response to inquiries.
- Create and disseminate HR communications to all staff on behalf of the HR team.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- At least six years of relevant human resources generalist experience required; or a master’s and four years of which two years were at a HR generalist level or the equivalent.
- Experience in three or more of the following areas: talent acquisition and management, compensation, benefits, employee/labor relations, performance management, training, and development, HRIS, policy development.
- Bachelor’s or the equivalent years of experience
- Thrive in both collaborative team settings and independent work environments.
- Effective writing and communication skills and a responsive listener
- Ability to manage multiple projects with keen attention to detail, confidentiality and timely.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; HRIS such as Paylocity, Replicon, etc.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all phases of the employee experience and life cycle with the ability to work across a diverse organization.
- Organization development certification or experience a plus.

Salary Range: The salary for this position is $72,000 to $108,000 per year, with a midpoint of $90,000.
