POSITION SUMMARY: We are actively hiring HLT Localization Engineers specializing in Chinese Mandarin to work with a diverse team of linguists, intelligence analysts, and collection specialists focusing on materials of a scientific nature.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interaction with a wide variety of Government and contractor personnel in a diverse, evolving, high-profile environment.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of cloud environments for HLT tool deployment.
- Provide Project-based technical support.
- Facilitate unit- and enterprise-wide technology rollouts.
- Train linguists on HLT.
- Assist with trouble shooting foreign language content issues related to triage, translation, transcription, interpretation, and localization.
- Validate new features in CAT Tool Translation Memory (TM) Servers and HLT tools.
- Manager Translation Memories (TM).
- Identify commercial tools for employment.
- Automate file analysis, parsing, and filtering.
- Write scripts and/or macros in various program languages to automate repetitive tasks.
- Prepare file types for localization process (including re-coding and script writing).
- Provide estimates on projects.
- Work closely with technology providers to: Collect requirements from stakeholders and users; Provide documentation and training to users; Define new features and improvement to Software Products; Provide test cases for Quality Assurance (QA); and Report and test fixes for bugs found by users.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: TS/SCI with polygraph is required. However, candidates with any level of clearance, including those with no clearance but who are deemed eligible, may be considered.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of four (4) years of experience in the HLT field.
- A bachelor's degree or four or more years of on-the-job experience in the HLT field.
- Must be able to pass a Chinese translation assessment with ILR 2+ or higher.
- experience with Adobe Suite, CAT tools, desktop publishing, localization engineering, Microsoft Office tools, and translation memory servers.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with ASP, HTML, JSP, and XML.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work will be performed Monday through Friday during normal business hours between 0700 and 1800.
PAY RANGE:
Pay Range: $110,000 - $200,000 a year
Ascensus Global (AGI) pay range and level are general guidelines for this job. Several factors, including education, geographic location, contract labor categories, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, or market data, determine the final salary.
