R&D Engineer Student Intern

Summary of the Position

The R&D Engineering Student Intern will understand EBR’s product design and design history file to ensure that the design meets the requirements, document any gaps, and perform verification and validation testing. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and trace requirements: Ensure design verification, manage requirements tracing, and conduct DHF gap analysis. 
  • Draft protocols and reports: Perform software and hardware V&V testing, tool validation, usability testing, and pre-clinical validation. 

Other Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Utilize engineering fundamentals to analyze requirements, test methods, and testing. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Education and Required Experience 

  • Actively pursuing a Biomedical, Electrical, or Software Engineering Bachelor of Science with at least four (4) complete semesters. Master of Science candidates preferred.
  • Project leader of an electrical hardware or software project.   

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent communication and writing skills for collaboration. 
  • Strong time management and organizational skills. 
  • Self-motivated, conscientious, and adaptable to prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office. 
  • Proficiency with Python preferred.  
  • Ability to sit or stand for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to work on a computer for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Manual dexterity / fine motor skills, if working with precision equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to distinguish colors if needed to perform the job.

Salary Range

$30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Base pay is one part of your total compensation. The final starting salary offer to the successful candidate will be determined by evaluating several factors, such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
