Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:

As our Senior RF/Electronics Design Engineer extraordinaire, your job is to unleash your superhuman abilities and develop the worlds next circuit designs from quantum computing applications to deep space and beyond. You'll work alongside some of the sharpest minds in the RF and microwave industry. Oh, and did we mention that you'll be based in the heart of Austin, Texas, where the tech scene is as hot as our BBQ? 


Here's What You'll Be Doing:

· Designing low phase noise oscillators, frequency sources, synthesizers, RF/microwave building blocks (amplifiers, detectors, mixers, couplers, filters, up/down conversion), integrated microwave assemblies, and subsystems.

· Developing next generation RF/microwave and electronic solutions for aerospace, space, defense, test & measurement, scientific, and quantum computing applications.

· Working with customers to understand requirements and decomposing that into product design and performance specifications.

· Working with program managers, electrical engineers, RF/microwave engineers, mechanical engineers, software/firmware engineers, test engineers, manufacturing engineers, suppliers, production and quality to ensure products meet requirements and are delivered on time and budget.

· Testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis and corrective action.

· Developing and documenting procedures and process to ensure compliance to standards.

· Participating and staying up to date with RF/microwave and electronics industry trends and breakthroughs.

· Managing your projects to schedule and cost.


What We're Looking for in Our Senior RF/Electronics Design Engineer:

· Minimum BSEE or equivalent - MSEE or equivalent preferred.

· Minimum of 10+ years of experience if RF/Electronics design and development and able to design with minimal direction.

· Extensive experience with electronic circuits/schematics.

· Experience with low phase noise oscillators, frequency sources, and synthesizers.

· Experience with RF/microwave components, blocks, subsystems, and systems.

· Experience with RF/electronics test equipment, processes, test procedures, testing, and debug.

· Experience with designing military, aerospace, or space grade hardware.

· Experience working with and leading small/focused design teams.

· EMI/EMC analysis and practices and IPC standards.

· Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Atlassian Jira/Confluence.

· Experience with PCB layouts.

· Experience with requirements/specification management and decomposition.


Skills & Qualifications You Need:

· Job Skill Item #1:  RF/microwave and oscillator design, development, test and debug.

· You've got skills in written and verbal communication.

· You're self-motivated, a multitasking wizard, and detail-oriented like a hawk.

· Prioritization is your middle name, and you thrive in high-pressure situations.

· You play well with others and are a logical thinker, always ready to tackle customer challenges.

· Ethical standards? You've got them in spades.

· Must be authorized to work in the United States, and in some cases, you may be subject to a government security investigation to obtain a government security clearance.

· An appreciation for the importance of solid requirements documentation, flow-down, and adherence.
