POSITION OVERVIEW
Global Overview is seeking a Business Financial Analyst to join our team.? This position will support our clients with forecasting, budgeting, and ad-hoc reporting. The candidate will be familiar with Amazon, co-developing, maintaining, and enhancing the financial forecasting model, focusing on statistical analysis of production and contribution metrics. The ideal candidate is proactive, driven, and resourceful, with strong prioritization skills and a desire to dive into the detail.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Understand the brand and client profitability goals and consolidate reporting for senior level executives internal and external, presenting the data and insights.
- Seek to understand all technical and business requirements thoroughly to develop scalable, automated reporting solutions that resonate with customer needs.
- Build out impactful dashboards which tell a compelling story with the data to uncover problems and drive actionable recommendations.
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships with retail, marketing, operations, data science, and engineering internal stakeholders.
- Understand the brand and client profitability goals and consolidate reporting for senior level executives internal and external.
- Data wrangling - gathering, cleaning, transforming, and organizing raw, unstructured data into a structured and usable format for analysis, modeling, and visualization - and constantly evaluating data output for accuracy.
- Provide next level insights and recommendations to drive results, presenting findings to both internal and external audiences
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to propose and conduct ad-hoc analyses that align with business goal objectives.
- Provide recommendations based on data analysis to optimize business performance.
- Leverage data analytics tools and software to extract actionable insights from market data, sales reports, and consumer behavior metrics.
- Conduct thorough competitive analysis – assess market & industry trends and new emerging opportunities within a product category.
- Understand the brand and client profitability goals and consolidate reporting for senior level executives internal and external, presenting the data and insights.
- Work cross-functionally with data scientist team to employ machine learning and statistical performance to provide predictions of possible outcomes for financial and product performance
- Amazon Forecasting – sell-through and sell-in…annual and monthly reforecasting.
- Amazon Retail pricing analysis
- Analysis and measurement of branded campaigns.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4 years of experience in financial analysis or a related role.
- Direct Amazon experience (Amazon Marketing Cloud, Vendor & Seller Central, Helium 10, Junglescout Cobalt)
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Preferred: ability to understand forms of regression analysis to predict ad degree of future performance.
