Sigvaris is currently looking for Digital Cutting/CNC Machine Operator to join our team in Holland, MI. Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, the Digital Cutting/CNC Machine Operator is responsible for operating equipment necessary for the cutting of products from raw material. The Digital Cutting/CNC Machine Operator will utilize spreading and digital cutting devices to spread raw material, use software to load cut files, nest files, determine layouts and quantities based on the production plan ensuring work instructions are being followed.
TWO SCHEDULES TO CHOOSE FROM - BOTH in 1st SHIFT:
• Monday to Thursday: 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. If you have to work overtime, it will be on Friday.
• Monday to Thursday: 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. AND Friday from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. If you have to work overtime, it will be an additional 4 hours on Friday.
*Overtime will not be on a Sunday!
PAY PLUS BONUSES:
• $19.25 per hour with an increase every six months during the first year
• Opportunity to earn $100 Attendance Bonus payments per quarter. *

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Load and unload raw materials into spreading machine ensuring proper settings are used based on material selection.
• Calculate spread length from cut files and/or production plans as necessary to ensure proper material utilization.
• Operation of digital cutting equipment to cut/drill/mark material as necessary based on the CAD and production requirements.
• Ensure proper settings in PC are maintained and that material file library is kept up to date based on machine/material settings.
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly preventative maintenance (PM) of the digital cutting equipment and ensure the completion of all related ISO documents.
• Unloading of all cut parts and the inspection/labeling of parts where applicable.
• Packing of all cut parts into production tubs/shelves/boxes ensuring proper labeling/identification of parts with job tickets.
• Ensures proper storage of raw materials by placing all partial rolls back into the home locations after material has been spread.
• Ability to run the press for products that are not on the digital cutting machine.
• Cuts and automatic sews products by using a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures and equipment, and work instructions to perform a series of operations to correctly cut and automatically sew medical devices.
• Kitting/packing of manufactured items to include all components/labeling necessary for sale.
• Reports problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to Production Supervisor.
• Works closely with support staff such as Technicians, Engineering, Production Supervisor, Materials/Warehouse to resolve issues.
• Complies with all OSHA and company safety rules.
• Fosters positive morale among staff, by promotion of open communication with all departments, to help create and maintain an innovative and cooperative staff relationship and environment.

• Follows all work instructions, creates and maintains accurate records to meet all internal and external requirements to support the SIGVARIS Quality System and Quality Policy.
• Accurately performs any other duties and responsibilities as assigned to ensure an efficient workflow.
EDUCATION and WORK EXPERIENCE:
• A high school diploma and/or equivalent in education and experience.
• Highly prefer someone with a minimum of two years of manufacturing experience in a relatable field.
• Highly prefer someone with prior work experience with automated production equipment, preferably cutting equipment, CNC machines.
• Prefer someone with computer skills.
• Prefer someone with basic math skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This job involves moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the environment is low to moderate. Occasionally, exposed to both warm and cold air.
• Occasionally required to sit, walk, stand, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, bend, lift or climb.
• Occasionally required to lift over 50 pounds.
• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; finger dexterity and hand coordination is required.
• The ability to use hands to grasp, manipulate or assemble small and large objects is required.
• Specific vision abilities required for this include close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust or focus.
