Austin Telco Federal Credit Union is looking for exceptional individuals for a Loan Processor position. As a Loan Processor at Austin Telco, you play a crucial role in helping individuals and families achieve their financial goals. You'll be responsible for efficiently processing loan applications and ensuring a smooth and compliant lending process. Your attention to detail and member-focused approach will make a significant impact on our borrowers' lives.


Compensation

Starts at $41,000 per year

Location: 11149 Research Blvd, Ste 300, Austin, TX 78759.


Schedule: Regular full time hours between 8:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. Monday through Friday and alternating Saturdays from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Saturdays are remote.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Processes loan requests, which include running credit reports and completing loan applications in person or over the phone and assigning the loan to a loan officer.
  • Responsible for answering phone inquiries regarding loans, blue book value, payoffs, approval or denial, and account services, etc.
  • Assists walk-in member with loan information.
  • Processes advances on existing lines of credit (LOC) and VISA cards
  • Responsible for obtaining payoff amounts on refinances and calculating the value of the vehicle for the loan officers.
  • Processes release of title or lien for management approval.
  • Acting as backup to the reception area and filling in when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Knowledge of consumer lending regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in loan processing software and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
  • Prior experience in loan processing or banking is preferred.

Education and/or Experience: 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 6 months related customer service, bank, or credit union experience and/or training.


Good credit standing is also required and will be verified during pre-employment stage. Once a contingent job offer is made, a criminal background check and drug screening will be completed.
