Description


With more than 200 attorneys from offices in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Shreveport, Houston and The Woodlands, Kean Miller serves the legal needs of the people, businesses, and industries that drive the regional economy. 


Kean Miller is seeking a Lateral/Experienced Associate in our Baton Rouge office to join our Casualty and Mass Tort Litigation Practice Group. Qualified candidates will possess minimum six (6) years general litigation experience. Litigation experience should include taking depositions, writing motions, and responding to discovery. Our associates work hand in hand with partners on all phases of litigation, from rapid response investigations, case reporting, discovery, and depositions, through trial preparation. 


Candidates should have excellent academic credentials, strong research, writing, communication, and advocacy skills. Candidates must demonstrate the ability and the desire to interact directly with Kean Miller’s clients and to further develop client and referral relationships. Candidates should be able to independently manage a caseload from beginning to end, regularly handle court appearances and depositions, take the lead with client communication, and provide meaningful updates. 


The successful candidate should have a track record of high achievement, the desire to work in a fast-paced challenging environment and the ability to work as part of a team. This position is based in our Baton Rouge office and all candidates must be in good standing with the LA State Bar.
