YOUTH LEADER // CROSSROADS CHURCH
Crossroads Church is looking for a passionate Youth Leader to join our staff. The Youth Leader will provide students with a quality ministry experience that is fun, impactful, intriguing, and life changing. This person will work alongside the Youth Director and youth team to create, plan, and execute ministry experiences. This person will be an integral part of the Eagan campus, serving in different roles based on the need of the campus.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute the vision of CR Youth to lead all students into a lifelong relationship with Jesus within your ministry area.
- Work with Campus Pastor and/or the Youth Director to understand the goals and objectives of the church. Pursue an understanding of leadership’s expectations of the Youth Ministry as it relates to the all-church goals, services, and events.
- Recruit, nurture and deploy leaders.
- With the youth team, brainstorm, develop and implement profound, irresistible, life-changing Wednesday night experiences for students.
- When presented with the opportunity, fully execute central activities including, sermon delivery, relevant Bible-centered teaching, pastoral counseling, evangelism, and discipleship processes.
- Contribute fully as a member of the Eagan Staff, be a presence on Sunday morning services, attend meetings, help with weekly tasks, and play a part at all campus events.
- Build trust and rapport along all lines of involvement, including students, parents, volunteers, and staff.
- Work with the youth team to plan, execute, and attend all central events. (Fall Retreat, Winter Whiteout, One Night, etc.)
- Maintain open and frequent communication with supervisor, staff, and team.
- Attend all-staff huddles.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPECTATIONS
- Education: 4-year bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred. Experience in youth ministry will be considered in lieu of academic preparation.
- Qualifications
o Evident relationship with Jesus Christ.
o Passion to see the lives of students transformed and pointed toward Jesus.
o Proficient computer and social media skills.
o Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
o Knowledge and experience leveraging social media to further ministry goals and objectives.
o Desire for a long-term commitment to Youth Ministry.
o Ability to work independently while still capable of working well and collaborating within a team.
o Proven track record of effective leadership through influence, team building, judgment, and character above reproach.
o Awareness of/and agreement with the ECC theology and practice.
- Environment
o Working 40+?hours should be expected at times throughout the year.
o Occasional travel is expected for youth events, camps, retreats, etc.
o Working Sundays is required for most of the year.
