Global Power Products is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for a sales professional with a solid technical background and established relationships with specifying engineers and utilities. The Technical Sales Manager will focus on promoting our NE Meter product line, providing in-depth technical support to clients, and expanding our market presence among specifying engineers, electrical distributors, commercial and multi-family property management companies and government agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with specifying engineers, consulting firms, and distributors to promote Global Power Products’ NE Meter offerings and related solutions.
- Technical Expertise and Support: Serve as a technical expert on NE Meter equipment and software, providing guidance, product education, and technical support to customers, including engineering teams, distributors and end users.
- Customer Engagement: Partner with engineers to influence project specifications, ensuring that Global Power Products’ solutions are considered in new and retrofit installations.
- Project Management: Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering and product development, to ensure that client specifications are met and that projects are completed on schedule.
- Market Development: Identify and engage new opportunities within the submetering and electrical markets, actively working to expand Global Power Products' reach and influence in these sectors.
- Technical Presentations and Training: Conduct product presentations, training sessions, and technical demonstrations to illustrate product capabilities, benefits, and integration processes.
- Industry Insight and Reporting: Gather and analyze market data to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities. Provide regular feedback to management on market dynamics and potential opportunities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of technical sales experience, with a focus on the power and utility markets.
- Proven track record of building strong relationships with specifying engineers and utility companies.
- In-depth technical knowledge of electrical meters and related products.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to travel as needed for customer meetings, presentations, and site visits.
Preferred Skills:
- Existing network with specifying engineers, distributors and property management companies.
- Experience in project management, including coordination between internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards related to electrical meters.
