Position
Power to Decide is seeking a Senior Director of Business Development, to lead the strategic planning and tactical execution of business development initiatives that help fund our reach and impact. The Senior Director will focus on building and maintaining B2B partnerships, identifying new opportunities, and driving growth across our revenue streams, particularly in patient education, data licensing, sponsored content, and advertising. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in scaling business units within the non-profit or social impact sector, balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution.
The Senior Director of Business Development will report to the Chief Operating and Technology Officer on the Digital Team.
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to expand our B2B partnerships and revenue streams, aligned with and in support of our mission to enhance sexual and reproductive well-being.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities for collaboration with organizations in the health education, direct health care, government, and lifestyle sectors.
- Lead and manage the entire business development cycle, from relationship building and outreach to contract negotiation and closing.
- Collaborate closely with program, marketing, and operations teams to align efforts with organizational goals and partner needs.
- Forecast, monitor and analyze market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making and identify emerging opportunities.
- Evaluate, track and report key performance metrics related to business development, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Conceptualize and launch new products or services in collaboration with marketing and product teams. Help define sales motion through direct and/or channel sales.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have/be:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, public health, or a related field with an MBA, MPA, or equivalent advanced degree preferred
- OR additional 6 years of work experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree; additional 2 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree, in lieu of an advanced degree.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, ideally within the non-profit or social impact sectors.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and developing strategic partnerships in a B2B context.
- Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
- Ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day tactical execution.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with experience in managing and working with cross-functional teams.
- Self-starter and has the entrepreneurial spirit for getting things done.
- Comfortable leveraging tools like Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, SharePoint and Monday.com.
- Practitioner of a growth and learning mindset.
- Passion for advancing sexual and reproductive well-being and commitment to the mission of Power to Decide.
- Ability to work effectively from a remote home office and travel 10% if needed.
Salary and Benefits
The Director of Marketing is an exempt position. Salary is based on market factors and individual experience and abilities. The starting salary range for this position is $124,100 to $142,900.
