We are searching for a seasoned professional to join our inTEST family as a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) and reporting to our VP of Sales. This critical role supports the EMS business and is a part of the Electronic Test division. 


The RSM is responsible for the management of EMS product sales and service in the assigned territory, including the management and development of the sales channel.  This position will generate new business growth while maintaining a strong supplier-customer relationship, through relationship building, product knowledge, competitive analysis, new opportunity development, and a consistent professional approach of day-to-day activities. 

Requirements

  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactive in making sales visits to generate new business opportunities that lead to new orders.
  • Responsible for achieving sales targets and meeting management objectives for a territory.
  • Development of sales strategies and tactics to increase sales to existing customers and penetrate new customers. The sales strategies and tactics will be presented to the VP of sales and the division General Manager for review and approval.
  • Generate new leads in customers that inTEST is not doing business with today.
  • Coordinates quoting activity with the sales administration team using the CRM to request and organize customer quotes while making sure the forecast funnel is accurate. 
  • Coordinate weekly activity and sales reports.
  • Prepares period sales and forecast report showing sales volume and potential sales.
  • Self-organized and structured to follow-up on all aspects of managing a regional territory. 
  • Interface with applications and engineering teams to define customer requirements.
  • Direct sales responsibilities for the assigned territory focusing on key customers and relationships.
  • Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience a must, in business or marketing.
  • At least five years' field experience in sales. 
  • Must have proven record of achieving sales goals in the electronic capital equipment market
  • Required to travel extensively throughout assigned territory
  • Strong communication skills—verbal, presentation, and written
  • Interest in directing and guiding others—supervisory interest or skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge and understanding of MS Word Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CAD Drawings
  • Understanding of electrical interfacing and mechanical drawings, being able to interpret same
  • Ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of personnel
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, constantly changing environment
