We’re seeking a passionate BD/Capture Solutions Architect who will play a pivotal role in supporting our business development and capture teams, specializing in crafting technical and business solutions for opportunities and pursuits specific to DHS and Department of State (DOS). This role demands hands-on involvement, up-to-date awareness of digital trends, and close collaboration with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of innovative and effective solutions that are both compliant and compelling, based on your analysis of customer RFP requirements, for mid to large-size programs across DHS and DOS.
- Leverage deep experience in the business operations and systems integration within DHS or DOS to develop opportunity needs/pain points, expected outcomes/impacts/benefits, and solutions. Develop winning solutions including innovative business operations, services, features, and/or technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members including product, HCD, engineering, and data science leaders to provide comprehensive agile solutions including the analysis, design, development and operation of enterprise systems and services.
- Develop narrative responses to market surveys, RFIs, RFPs, and white papers to present your solution and position it as a winning value proposition.
- Create detailed technical designs, make informed decisions on product and vendor selection, and develop applications and overarching technical architectures.
- Act as a hands-on solution architect, being the final-tier SME for designated responsible areas, ensuring that our solutions are feasible, practical, and innovative.
- Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), CTO and technical leads, and partners to refine and improve solutions, ensuring they align with client needs and our strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and the business development department to strategize, write, and develop proposals that drive business growth and meet the needs of our government clients.
- Serve as the technical lead or technical volume lead for RFP responses
- Work closely with key stakeholders, industry partners, and decision-makers to optimize IT governance and decision-making processes, adapting as the business context and technological landscape evolve.
- Stay updated on emerging digital and business trends. Collaborate with other business leaders to integrate digital opportunities into our business strategy, ensuring we remain at the forefront of technological advancements.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. With ten years of general information technology experience and at least four years of specialized experience, a degree is not required.
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, designing and architecting (minimum of 3+ categories): large cloud scale applications, data-centric engineering, cloud engineering (AWS, GCP, or Azure), AI/ML, and/or DevSecOps solutions.
- 5+ years of experience in solution architecture, with a proven track record of supporting government agency pursuits, especially DHS and DOS.
- 10+ years of experience taking disparate business problems and delivering the best technology solutions for large scale government cloud solutions
- An advocate in modern product development with agile, HCD, DevSecOps automation. Possess a curiosity and always challenge the status quos to deliver innovative approach and solutions to the government and end users.
- Experience collaborating with customers and stakeholders to present solutions to the user/stakeholder community and gain user adoption
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven capability in proposal writing and development for government agencies.
Desired Qualifications:
- Cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Engineering DevSecOps and/or SAFe Certifications
Working Environment:
eSimplicity supports a remote work environment operating within the Eastern time zone so we can work with and respond to our government clients. Expected hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by manager.
Occasional travel for training and project meetings. It is estimated to be less than 25% per year.
