Job Description:
As the Environmental Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our operations adhere to environmental regulations and best practices. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement environmental strategies that minimize our ecological footprint while optimizing operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainable practices into our daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee environmental compliance programs to meet regulatory requirements (e.g., EPA, IDEM, OSHA).
- Conduct regular environmental audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement and monitor environmental management systems (EMS) to enhance operational sustainability.
- Advise on environmental impact assessments for new projects and initiatives.
- Manage environmental permits and ensure timely renewals and compliance.
- Investigate and resolve environmental incidents or concerns promptly.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on environmental best practices and regulations.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and community groups.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to recommend proactive measures.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience in environmental management within industrial or manufacturing settings, preferably in metal casting or foundry operations.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations (e.g., Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Proven track record of implementing successful environmental programs or initiatives.
- Certification (e.g., Certified Environmental Professional) is a plus.
