Position Objective:
To perform research to assist People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) in its actions pushing major corporations to eliminate cruel practices and products
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
• Perform advanced research and analysis on issues related to animal welfare, environmental impact, supply chains, vegan alternatives, consumer trends, and more, to support PETA policies, guidelines, and general operating practices
• Facilitate and send external corporate communications
• Prepare SWOT analyses on major corporations
• Prepare PowerPoint and other presentations
• Exercise sound judgment and confidentiality at all times
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
• Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of two years of previous experience in a research role
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Canva, as well as a willingness to learn new software
• Demonstrated thorough knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns
• Proven exceptional research abilities, including qualitative and quantitative analyses
• Outstanding analytical and organizational skills
• Proven exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Demonstrated excellent decision-making skills and the proven ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment
• Ability to work quickly and under pressure
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Professional appearance and adherence to a healthy vegan lifestyle
• Support for PETA's philosophy and the ability to professionally advocate PETA's positions on issues
• Commitment to the objectives of the organization
The hourly pay range for this position is $21.88 - $27.24 per hour. The ultimate hourly pay within this range that will be offered to a qualified candidate will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and the cost of living in the area in which the candidate will live and work.
