Mechanical Designer / Drafter
Description

This individual will be responsible for creating & updating drawings based on product creation, codes and specifications for the design. They are responsible for making ensuring that all drawings & projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with the safety regulations and the organizational quality standards

  • Produce effective product designs by utilizing Engineering & Manufacturing techniques and practices.
  • Prepare drawings that depict the product design that is being requested by Engineering.
  • Assist Manufacturing to update detail drawings to improve efficiency in manufacturing.
  • Prepare & revise drawings to meet specifications & quality standards.
  • Use training, standards and processes to deliver a high-quality design.
  • Create drawings and provide information on cost and manufacturability for parts/assemblies.


Requirements
  • Proficiency in Pro-E or Solidworks (Pro E is preferable)
  • Must have a minimum of two years of experience in manufacturing design.
  • Knowledge & proficiency with Microsoft Office suites: Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Must be precise with extreme attention to detail.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, both oral & written.
  • Ability to manage & prioritize multiple projects.
  • Ability to meet fast-paced deadlines while maintaining quality designs.
  • Ability to develop & design detailed drawings for assembly parts & complete unit structures.
  • Able to resolve issues expediently.
  • (2) Years college or Trade School education in Mechanical Drawings & related areas.
