Data Manager

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Under the general direction of the Program Director or Manager, and reporting to the Senior Supervisor – Systems and Data, the Data Manager is responsible for supporting various functions including but not limited to day to day activities related to data, data clean up, change management process and liaison to data aggregator. This position will participate in other related projects and perform other functions as may be required from time to time.   

 

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Supports managing all client transitions and new initiatives related to data
  2. Supports managing all system changes through the change request process
  3. Supports the organization and execution of UAT for each production release
  4. Works closely with IT management team to support data transactions and acts as liaison between Operations, Business Analyst(s), IT as well as business partners
  5. Works to build knowledge base that supports anticipating the impact to system and functionality overall
  6. Tracks program trends related to data and proactively communicates observations to management
  7. Assists with the development of program training documents related to dashboards/portals.
  8. Supports coordination of services with the specialty pharmacy, client, and hub reimbursement team
  9. Participates in strategic and tactical planning sessions.
  10. Helps team members resolve work-related issues impacted by data issues.
  11. Provides feedback up and down the organization (Positive and Constructive).
  12. Participates in client meetings.
  13. Identifies data and reporting related client issues; receives and triages client requests.
  14. Proactively identifies program issues and proposes ways in which to address their concerns.
  15. Maintains positive rapport with client.
  16. Analyzes reports for trends and gives recommendations
  17. Analyzes progress of tactical issues.
  18. Performs related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

Previous 3+ years of experience in a healthcare setting, healthcare data analysis setting, and/or related experience. General knowledge of reimbursement, patient assistance programs, database elements and functionality: operational policies and processes. Previous data analysis experience is required. Degree in related field preferred but not required dependent upon relevant experience.

  3. Ability to work after hours to assist with UAT testing.

  8. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.

  12. General knowledge of reimbursement, patient assistance program, database elements and functionality, operational policies and processes particularly distribution processes/interfaces.

  14. Strategic thinker with long term planning experience.
  15. Critical thinking skills, creative and innovative solutions to internal or external client needs.
