Description


Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Developer/Analyst with a specialization in Power BI, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), and M (Power Query Formula Language). This individual will play a key role in transforming complex business requirements into effective data models, visualizations, and actionable insights. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data visualization and BI best practices, be proficient in data modeling and reporting, and be comfortable collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. This role will focus on delivering high-impact BI solutions that drive strategic decision-making across our global business.

Responsibilities:


Power BI Development: 

· Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring they meet business needs in terms of accuracy, performance, and usability. 


Data Modeling: 

· Build efficient, optimized data models that align with reporting and analysis requirements. Use DAX and M to create robust, scalable solutions. 


Advanced DAX:

· Develop advanced DAX calculations and measures to support dynamic, interactive reporting, including complex time-series, segmentation, and trend analysis. 


Power Query (M): 

· Create and manage complex data transformation workflows using Power Query (M language) to clean, shape, and transform data for analysis. 


Data Visualization:

· Leverage best practices in data visualization to create intuitive, impactful dashboards and reports that deliver actionable insights to business stakeholders. 


Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: 

· Partner closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs, provide consultative guidance, and deliver tailored BI solutions that drive strategic outcomes. 


Data Integration: 

· Integrate data from multiple sources, including SQL, APIs, and cloud services (experience with Databricks preferred), ensuring high data quality and integrity. 


Performance Optimization: 

· Monitor and optimize Power BI solutions for performance, implementing improvements as needed to handle large datasets and complex calculations. 


Documentation & Training: 

· Create and maintain documentation for data models, reporting standards, and business rules. Provide training and support to end-users and junior team members as required. 

Requirements


Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus


Experience:

· Minimum of 5+ years in BI development, with at least 3 years specializing in Power BI, DAX, and M.

· Proven experience in data visualization and dashboard design for effective storytelling and decision support. 

· Preferably experienced working in a large, global organization, with an understanding of the unique challenges of a multinational environment. 

· Experience working with Databricks or similar data processing platforms is highly preferred. 


Preferred Qualifications: 

· Experience with Azure data services (e.g., Azure SQL, Data Factory) is a plus. 

· Power BI certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) is preferred. 

· Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Trello.

· Prior Experience working in Databricks
