Truman Center for National Policy is an independent, nonpartisan research and policy institute that envisions an inclusive US foreign policy that makes American lives better because it advances democracy, human rights, prosperity, and security at home and abroad.
Its sister organization, the Truman National Security Project, is a vibrant, diverse, nationwide membership community of leaders leveraging the power of the Truman network to develop smart national security solutions that reinforce strong, just, and effective American global leadership. Truman offers timely, principled, and innovative solutions to pressing national security challenges with the belief that how we conduct ourselves in international engagement matters, and that our effectiveness abroad depends on the choices we make at home.
Truman is looking for highly motivated, dynamic individuals to join our Communications, Membership, and Operations teams to support our work in national security and foreign policy. Experience with non-profits, policy, research, Salesforce and event planning is helpful but not required. Applicants should have strong writing skills and be well organized. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential and the ability to work independently is critical.
The Summer internship program runs from January - April 2025, fellows will be expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week either remotely or in-person. Fellow will receive a stipend.

ELIGIBILITY
- Applicants may be undergraduates, recent graduates, or graduate students who share our community's common values.
- Veterans, current ROTC participants, and members of military families are encouraged to apply.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
- Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours each week during Truman work hours, in substantial blocks of time.
