Analyst, Assurance & Verification: Position Overview
Environ Energy is seeking an experienced Analyst for its Assurance & Verification team. The Analyst is responsible for supporting the execution and delivery of services within their portfolio and supports ongoing process improvement, industry research and communications efforts. This role reports to the Director, Assurance & Verification.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, environmental science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of related professional experience, preferably in sustainability, ESG or a related field.
- Relevant certifications preferred (e.g. Accountability Sustainability Practitioner, GRI Professional Certification, GRESB Accredited Professional)
Successful candidates will possess the following:
- An understanding of greenhouse gas emissions sources, categories and accounting principles; preference for knowledge of greenhouse gas accounting (GHG Protocol), target-setting methodologies and/or GHG management systems
- Knowledge of sustainability reporting mechanisms, such as the EU CSRD, US SEC’s climate disclosure rule, GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards, SASB Standards, CDP, GRESB, and TCFD recommendations
- Experience in conducting audit and/or assurance activities is a plus
- Talent to balance priorities and work quickly across multiple workstreams in a dynamic environment with limited guidance
- Intermediate-to-advanced abilities in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, data manipulation, pivot tables, etc.), familiar with data visualization and data presentation tools and best practices
- Ability to work in virtual settings and on a variety of cloud-based systems
- Strong people skills, with a proven ability to build trusted working relationships
- Effective written and oral communication skills and ability to convey complex information in a clear manner
- Collaborative team-oriented style
- Strong project management skills
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Project Support: Support the delivery of client projects, monitoring timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Information Collection and Management: Gather information from various sources, ensuring its accuracy and reliability, and managing process documentation
- Data Analysis: Leverage statistical tools and analytical techniques to analyze data, identifying trends, patterns, and relationships within the data
- Quality Assurance: Support quality assurance efforts by helping to implement project standards and practices that ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomes
- Process Improvement: Seek out innovation and continuous improvement opportunities within areas of responsibility, including efforts to refine processes, implement new technologies, and improve service delivery or product quality.
- Market and Competitive Analysis: Keep abreast of industry trends and competitive landscapes to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
- Ad Hoc Support: Provide ad hoc support on operational initiatives, as requested. These may include, but are not limited to, the development of marketing materials, design and delivery of training to internal and external audiences and client outreach.

The good faith salary hiring range for this position is $50,000 - $75,000 per year. Please note hiring ranges for candidates may differ based on education and experience.
