Job Purpose:

Under the supervision of the Operations Manager the Warehouse Supervisor coordinates scheduled warehouse operations, including but not limited to, the processing of incoming and outgoing shipments of supplies/product; inventory management and control; warehouse organization and safety; and assisting in identifying all warehousing and inventory management objectives and planning.


Duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead all warehouse activities, including planning and execution of daily operations, scheduling and delegation of tasks, and assisting in identifying daily, weekly and monthly goals/objectives.
  • Monitor warehouse performance progress and track individual goals and objectives to improve accuracy and productivity.
  • Process all incoming and outgoing shipments of supplies/product following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
  • Coordinate and lead training of warehouse personnel to ensure accuracy in preparing shipments, loading and receiving supplies/product, and organizing and distributing inventory.
  • Identify warehouse supply needs and assist in the procurement process for all materials.
  • Produce inventory reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis for inventory tracking and control
  • Oversee and coordinate preparation and shipment of outgoing product, including stacking, wrapping and palletizing product; loading into delivery trucks using a forklift; and coordinating shipping logistics with customer shipping/logistics vendor and sales team.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and efficient warehouse environment.
  • Maintain inventory control, storage temperature and shelf-life of product and raw materials according to company standards and SOP’s.
  • Receive and unload product/materials from pallets and delivery trucks, verifying accuracy of all deliveries, ensuring they match all Purchase Orders (PO’s) and shipping labels, and updating inventory counts appropriately.
  • Sort and distribute incoming deliveries and other materials to appropriate personnel and destinations according to established SOP’s and deadlines.
  • Ensure all shipments go out according to schedule and requirements to meet customers’ needs and deadlines.
  • Organize all inventory, including raw materials and finished goods, properly labeling and storing in all warehouses and cold boxes.
  • Fulfill all Tasting Room product orders, as generated, in an accurate and timely manner. Responsible for the organization of kegs for Tasting Room use in the cold box.
  • Partner with the Warehouse Inventory and Receiving Specialist in the maintenance of real-time inventory of all raw, packaged and processed inventories in the inventory management system.
  • Document, investigate and help resolve any discrepancies in the product received/shipped.
  • Coordinate daily cycle counts of finished goods, supplies, raw materials, etc., updating inventory management software and relaying information to Warehouse Supervisor
  • Assist the Warehouse Inventory and Receiving Specialist in leading monthly physical inventories of all material and product, including reconciliation of inventory through the inventory management system.
  • Research and implement new methodologies, such as APICS, Lean or 5S principles for continuous process improvement.
  • Work with other departments to improve upon and implement new and revised SOP’s.
  • Assist in resolving guest/customer issues and ensure satisfaction while maintaining AleSmith’s integrity.

  • Current and valid California driver’s license
  • Prior warehouse and inventory experience is required. 
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Current forklift and hand truck certification or ability to become certified.
  • Proven ability to train and provide work direction to other warehouse crew members.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of logistics and shipping procedures
  • Working knowledge of computerized inventory management systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with crew members, guests and vendors.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and shift priorities with a focus on safety
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Working knowledge of hazardous cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a time.
  • Ability to routinely lift and move up to 55 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, push, lift, kneel, reach, and pull.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Experience: 

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of experience and education and 3 years of experience in a production brewery or other related warehouse environment with a minimum of 1 year leadership experience.

Salary Description
$66,560- $70,000
