Pelican Grand Beach Resort is seeking to hire an enthusiastic, organically upbeat Barista/Retail Gift Shop Attendant to prepare and serve our customers at our retail shop & coffee shop. We are looking for that unique individual that loves to provide service with a bright smile!!!

Your job boasts with a breathtaking beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean daily that instantly surrounds guests with a sense of old Florida grandeur.


Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Greeting all guests in an upbeat and professional manner
  • Making coffees/specialty coffees
  • Selling/Upselling items in retail shop
  • Prepare & service ice cream/gelato to guests
  • Replenishment of all food & beverage items.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the shop during operating hours (sweeping, sanitizing, wiping down areas on a consistent basis)
  • Assist with monthly inventory, including counting, scanning, restocking, organizing.

Requirements

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Must be able to consistently provide excellent and engaging customer service
  • Experience in espresso bar service is preferred but not required.
  • 1 – 2 years of retail experience required.
  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to stay calm in a fast paced and sometimes stressful situations with guest
  • Flexibility to work hours that may change based on the season or business needs
  • Ability to learn new recipes and techniques
  • Ability to work well as part of a team or as an independent contractor
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Basic math skills (addition and subtraction)

Salary Description
13.000/per hour Plus Tips can average $18ph
