HR Generalist

he Human Resources Generalist will perform administrative duties related to the operations of the human resources office.

  • Organize, compile, update company personnel records and documentation.
  • Manage and update HR databases (Paylocity, WorkVivo, Open Path, Perform Yard) with different information such as new hires and terminations.
  • Maintain employee filing system.
  • Help in payroll management, preparation and payment assuring all information (including direct deposit) is input correctly.
  • Ensure benefit enrollments and terminations are processed in various carrier systems.
  • Assist with the annual open enrollment process and reporting.
  • Prepare, manage and store paperwork for HR policies and procedures.
  • Answer employees’ questions and provide requested information.
  • Assist recruiters in posting job ads on careers pages and processing received resumes.
  • Answer telephone calls and provide needed information.
  • Create reports for senior management.
  • Help organize and manage new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs.
  • Process employees’ requests and provide relevant information.
  • Processes required paperwork for employee transfers, changes in job classification and other related employment matters.
  • Processes leave of absence paperwork including administering FMLA and ADA leaves.
  • Updating HRIS (e.g. new hires, separations, vacation and FMLA).

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Associate degree in relevant field.
  • One to three years of Human Resources experience.
  • Knowledge of basic employment laws.
  • Payroll experience a plus
  • Experience using Paylocity a plus.
  • Microsoft suite experience
  • Spreadsheet experience
