Development Events and Annual Fund Assistant
Description

Assist the Director of Annual Giving and Special Events with fundraising, donor cultivation, and community events, and annual fund solicitation and acknowledgement efforts.


Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute, with supervision of Director of Annual Giving and Special Events, approximately thirteen donor cultivation events 
  • Field calls from donors and other constituents (RSVPs for events) 
  • Design and print event signage 
  • Create design concepts for each event 
  • Assist with promotion and marketing of events 
  • Work with manager on annual fund solicitation and acknowledgment efforts  
  • Assist with data entry in Raisers’ Edge  
  • Coordinate with other AMFS departments as needed

The development events and annual fund assistant will manage guest lists; communicate with operations and technical crew regarding set-up and A/V needs; communicate with vendors; help manage beverage supply; staff all fundraising and cultivation events (serve as event runner for the benefits); create and send event invitations and reminders; update event attendance and donor communication in Raiser’s Edge; communicate with hosts when appropriate; and assist with annual fund projects, events, and communications. 

Hired candidate is required to attend virtual pre-season training in May (scheduled based on availability).

Requirements
  • 21+ in order to pour alcohol, and be willing to take a TIPS certification course 
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalency 
  • Be proactive and anticipate needs especially during high volume periods 
  • Work well both independently and within a team  
  • Be able to manage high-stress situations 
  • Willing and able to work up to 60 hours/week, including evenings and weekends to support development events, especially during gala weeks 
  • Experience planning and executing events and working with vendors 
  • Detail oriented and organized 
  • Familiarity with the following software: Excel, Adobe Suite, and Canva 
  • Experience working in CRM or donor databases, Raisers' Edge is a plus 
  • Ability to lift up to 25+ lbs. (cases of wine) 
  • Have a personal vehicle for the duration of the summer (mandatory).

June 11, 2025-August 27, 2025

Virtual pre-season training in May (scheduled based on availability) 


Compensation

$12.50/hour plus housing provided by AMFS (valued at a minimum of $4.91/hour depending on location.) Overtime $22.22/hour

Pre-season virtual training pay rate is $14.81/hour.

The overall non-local compensation for this position, including hourly pay ($12.50/hour) and housing ($4.91/hour), exceeds the 2024 Colorado minimum wage of $14.81.

Benefits include AMFS season pass and paid sick time.
