Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform all mechanical assembly related duties as assigned by team leader / supervisor.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Assume accountability for quality, part counts, time management, and job tracking.
- Coordinate with account managers and quality to resolve issues that arise during the assembly process.
- Wrap, package, and protect parts for shipment as required.
- Prepare and protect parts for downstream processes, both internally and externally.
Requirements
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently, and as a team member to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Minimum 5 years of mechanical assembly experience required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Drawing / blueprint reading proficiency required.
- Familiarity with PEM / Haeger hardware installation machines is a definite plus.
- Forklift certification a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly. Bilingual candidates are a definite plus.
