Mechanical Assembly Technician
Description

  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Perform all mechanical assembly related duties as assigned by team leader / supervisor.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Assume accountability for quality, part counts, time management, and job tracking.
  • Coordinate with account managers and quality to resolve issues that arise during the assembly process.
  • Wrap, package, and protect parts for shipment as required.
  • Prepare and protect parts for downstream processes, both internally and externally.
Requirements

     

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and   providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work independently, and as a team member to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Minimum 5 years of mechanical assembly experience required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Drawing / blueprint reading proficiency required.
  • Familiarity with PEM / Haeger hardware installation machines is a definite plus.
  • Forklift certification a plus.

 Physical Requirements:   

  • Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative   productivity standards. 
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly. Bilingual candidates are a definite plus.
