HRIS Payroll & Benefits Specialist

As the HRIS Payroll Specialist, you will oversee HRIS system maintenance and deliver professional administration in payroll, benefits, wellness programs, leaves, compliance reporting, and HR metrics. Acting as a trusted partner to employees and leadership teams, your expertise will ensure smooth operations and compliance across all HR functions.

Key Responsibilities:

HRIS Management:

  • Maintain HRIS operations with a focus on data integrity, security, and performance.
  • Update and manage employee records, including payroll, benefits, and tax information.

Payroll Administration:

  • Process payroll for US, Canadian, and Belgian employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Handle payroll changes, reconciliations, and compliance activities.

Benefits Administration:

  • Manage benefits enrollment, change reporting, and qualifying events.
  • Support open enrollment, new hire benefit activities, and COBRA notifications.

Employee Support & Compliance:

  • Collaborate on leave management, including FMLA, ADA, and workers' compensation.
  • Ensure compliance with EEO, AAP, OSHA, and other federal/state reporting requirements.

Engagement & Communication:

  • Support employee appreciation events, wellness efforts, and safety programs.
  • Create engaging employee communication materials.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to enhance systems and processes.
  • Generate HR reports and provide actionable insights for leadership.
Requirements

 Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of HRIS experience and 2 years in payroll and benefits. Familiarity with Paylocity is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
  • Preferred: Experience in a manufacturing environment. 

Pay & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $ 75,000 - $95,000 / year based upon experience and skillset
