The primary responsibility of the Personal Banker is to assist customers in managing their bank accounts and finances through individualized services. In this role, the personal banker oversees all aspects of their clients’ accounts, informing and providing them with banking services including new accounts, loans or credit cards.
Essential Functions:
- Manage client bank accounts, including opening, closing, and updating accounts
- Identify opportunities to offer/refer additional products and services that will add value to our customer relationships
- Review documents for accuracy and legal compliance, collect and verify required customer information for account openings and revisions
- Assist customers with mobile banking and account management tools
- Respond promptly to customer queries and complaints by offering solutions or referring them to the correct individuals
- Performs teller functions as needed
- Review and decision overdraft items in accordance with bank policy
Additional responsibilities:
- Complete required compliance and educational training
- May be asked to support business development activities as needed within individual markets
- Participate in Community First Events
- Provide exceptional customer service while remaining in Bank regulatory and legal guidelines
- May require flexibility and willingness to work and travel to various areas of retail operations

- Exceptional communication, organizational and computer skills
- Must be able to maintain strict customer confidentially
- Work respectfully and cooperatively with all IFB Team members
- Self-directed: must be able to fulfill responsibilities of the position with minimal supervision
Qualifications:
- At least one year of previous financial experience is highly desired.
