What we need

We are seeking an experienced Director of Business Development for our growing company! As the Director of Business Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our organization’s growth strategies. Operating at the intersection of leadership and hands-on business development expertise, you will lead a team to deliver exceptional results and contribute significantly to our expansion. 



This is a fully remote opportunity!


Responsibilities:

  • Developing new business opportunities: This involves conducting market research, identifying potential clients, and creating  strategies to reach and convert them into customers.
  • Building and managing strategic partnerships: Establishing strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders to drive collaborative growth and expand the organization’s reach.
  • Leading and managing the sales team: Providing direction, guidance, and support to the sales team to ensure targets are      met and revenue goals are achieved.
  • Utilizing negotiation skills: Negotiating deals, contracts, and agreements with clients and partners to secure beneficial      partnerships and maximize business opportunities.
  • Outreach skills: Ability to identify new customers and contacts within th Governmental agencies that can provide opportunities for Prairie Band in the construction sector. 
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in GovWin and CRM platforms
  • Experience and demonstrated success in Section 8(a) Direct/Sole Source Awards from federal government agency customers.

· Identifying and developing new business opportunities: Continuously seeking out potential clients and markets for expansion to drive business growth.

· Evaluating and analyzing market trends: Staying informed about industry trends, market demands, and competitor strategies to anticipate opportunities and challenges.

· Developing and implementing effective business strategies: Creating and executing strategies to enhance the organization’s market position and increase its competitive advantage.

· Promoting products and services effectively: Leveraging market insights and consumer understanding to develop targeted marketing campaigns and effectively communicate the value of products and services to clients


Requirements

  

Skills and Qualifications

· 10+ years of experience selling services to the Federal Government

· Uses intuition and experience to effectively market the company’s services

· Ability to assist with development and delivery of compelling presentations

· Demonstrates the ability to problem solve and develop alternative solutions when dealing with client issues or emotional topics

· Must be able to maintain confidentiality

· Must be able to demonstrate team behavior and willing to promote a positive team -oriented environment with the ability to both convey and understand the philosophies of others

· Must be able to divide work requirements between office/remote time and travel

· Proven results as a successful Director of Business Development or in a similar leadership role.

· Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a business development team to achieve and exceed targets.

· Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitor activities.

· Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

· Results-oriented with a track record of driving business growth.
