About the Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a critical grow in our company’s growth through dedicated outreach, lead generation, qualifying prospects, and closing sales opportunities for our penetration testing and consulting services. You will work closely with the Head of Cybersecurity, Director of Growth, and the engineers to understand and service client needs, educate prospects about our services, and provide customized solutions that address their cybersecurity challenges. As a team, we will collaborate to drive revenue growth and commit to creative ways of servicing our clients.
Above all, you will operate with integrity, never cutting corners or sacrificing principles to close a deal. This team is committed to giving high-quality service with a transparent and informative approach, both to our clients and with each other.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Leverage your current network as well as identify and research potential clients across all industries who would benefit from penetration testing and other cybersecurity assessments.
- Outbound Messaging: Conduct outreach campaigns via phone, email, social media, and networking events to generate interest in TCM’s services.
- Qualifying: Evaluate leads based on business needs, budget, and requirements. Don’t be afraid to walk away from a bad fit!
- Selling & Cross-Selling: Identify and investigate client pain points to determine if our penetration testing services can address specific challenges. Tailor presentations and SOWs to address client requests and questions, including training solutions from TCM Academy.
- Sales Process Management: Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach to closing, including preparing quotes, negotiating contracts, and coordinating with the technical team to ensure seamless service delivery. You will often lean on different teammates for this - we are all ready to help!
- Build Strong Relationships: Whether cross-selling, up-selling, or just staying connected, we prioritize building relationships always. We expect the same from this role!
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts in CRM. Report weekly on sales performance and key metrics to management.
- Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity trends, vulnerabilities, and industry regulations to effectively communicate the value of services
- 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in a B2B tech, cybersecurity, consulting environment
- Experience selling penetration testing services is a huge plus but not required!
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs
- The ability to “read a room” and get to know a very diverse audience
- Dynamic communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Quick to respond to current and potential customer requests and inquiries
- Able to understand complex technical concepts and regularly dialogue with customers about penetration testing and security assessment methodologies
- Dedicated to building strong relationships over time
- Proven ability to build Outbound Campaigns using various messaging channels
