About the Role
The Demand Generation Manager plays a critical role in developing and executing data-driven marketing campaigns that generate high-quality leads and positively influence UPSTACK’s organic revenue growth objectives. This position accelerates revenue growth through lead acquisition, nurturing, and conversion strategies.
Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, this role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and performance analytics to execute integrated campaigns aligned with UPSTACK’s unified demand generation strategy.
Critical Outcomes Expected
- Customer Experience: Leverage UPSTACK’s extensive library of thought leadership content, deep supplier relationships, and data-driven insights, to build exceptional customer experiences across multi-month sales cycles.
- Campaign Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute demand generation strategies to drive marketing qualified leads that convert to sales conversions at a high rate. Utilize UPSTACK’s thought leadership content—including blogs, case studies, podcasts, and reports—to create impactful campaigns across digital channels, including paid search, display, social media, email, video and more. Use A/B testing, audience segmentation, and conversion tracking to refine messaging and maximize ROI.
- Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with the VP of Marketing to refine and implement demand generation strategies that align with UPSTACK’s broader revenue goals, ensuring that tactical execution supports broader company objectives.
- Campaign Reporting and Insights: Prepare detailed performance reports on key metrics such as CPL, CPA, ROI, and CTR. Leverage insights from UPSTACK’s customer purchasing data, search performance data, website data, and third-party customer intent data (e.g., TechTarget Priority Engine) to inform and optimize campaign strategies.
- Lead Generation & Nurturing: Partner with the Lifecycle Marketing Manager to integrate into the greater buyer marketing lifecycle, collaborating with the sales team to identify target accounts and implement account-based marketing (ABM) strategies, and draft nurturing campaigns to drive conversion for UPSTACK’s capabilities and services, leading to substantive sales conversations.
- Brand Integrity: Ensure all campaigns and creative materials reflect and reinforce the UPSTACK brand identity, contributing to cohesive messaging that elevates brand awareness across industries.
- Market Segmentation & Targeting: Identify and segment market opportunities within the technology buyer market, inclusive of existing UPSTACK customers. Use data insights to refine audience profiles and personalize campaigns to maximize target audience engagement and conversion.
- Performance Analytics & Reporting: Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, providing regular reports to stakeholders. Utilize Salesforce, HubSpot, Act-On, and other tools to optimize channel mix and measure campaign effectiveness.
- Technology Stack Optimization: Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to UPSTACK’s marketing technology stack, ensuring tools and platforms support campaign objectives and deliver efficiencies.
- Budget Management: Manage and optimize the performance marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation across campaigns to meet Marketing Qualified lead targets.
Skills & Requirements
- Advanced digital advertising skills: Hands-on experience with Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Facebook Ads, and similar platforms.
- Marketing automation expertise: Proficiency with platforms like Act-On, HubSpot, Marketo, or Pardot, as well as CRM tools like Salesforce.
- Analytical and data visualization proficiency: Strong ability to interpret data using tools like Google Analytics, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
- In-depth understanding of demand generation strategies: Expertise in planning and executing integrated marketing campaigns across digital channels.
- Familiarity with IT channel ecosystems and B2B marketing: Insight into SaaS, technology solutions, and multi-service channel partner ecosystems.
- Campaign optimization techniques: Experience with A/B testing, audience segmentation, and conversion optimization.
- Effective communication skills: Proven ability to create data-driven reports and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience is also acceptable.
- Certifications: Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, HubSpot, or other relevant platforms.

Salary Range
Employees new to UPSTACK typically come in at the start of the pay range. UPSTACK focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure, which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, and job-related skills.
