Dura Supreme Cabinetry manufactures quality semi-custom and custom cabinetry for cabinet showrooms throughout the United States. A Production Department Manager is responsible for the overall operation of safely producing cabinet components on time, complete, to quality standards, to material usage standards, and to productivity standards by maximizing the personnel, material, equipment, and information resources available, and supervision of staff. This position will directly report to the Production Manager.


This specific role as a 2nd Shift Department Manager will work alongside one other 2nd Shift Department Manager and will help oversee Cutting, Parts Prep, and other various 2nd shift operations throughout 2nd Shift.

This is a Salaried Position and requires at least 10 hour days M-F 4:00pm-2:30am

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Ensures safety procedures are followed in department.
  2. Monitors quality and material usage within the department.
  3. Administers the production flow of cabinet components.
  4. Monitors schedule and productivity reporting on a continuous basis and directs department Lead people to make adjustments to meet the schedule and productivity goals.
  5. Determines productivity goals for department through maintaining labor expenditures.
  6. Notifies Inventory Control Manager of low quantities of component parts and accessories.
  7. Researches and develops new techniques for procedure improvements.
  8. Researches and recommends new equipment purchases.
  9. Advises and consults with R&D about incorrect shop floor prints.
  10. Communicates professionally and effectively with all employees and Managers to ensure a consistent flow of product throughout the facility.
Requirements

Required Education, Training or Experience

  • Production experience
  • Proven management experience.
  • Knowledge about woodworking is a plus!
  • Dura Supreme product knowledge
  • Woodworking and machine knowledge
  • Interpersonal Communication
  • Organization skills
  • Ability to analyze facts to enhance decision making
  • Flexibility to adapt to work environment changes and work force needs
  • Leadership skills
