Residential Sales Specialist

Summary

  • Key player in the communication and marketing aspect of our sales team with a focus on increasing sales and market share in addition to achieving territory sales goals based upon business plans for surfacing and flooring categories.  
  • Responsible for generating new relationships with K&B, fabricators, and flooring retailers as well as maintaining existing relationships by providing customer service, updates, and sample maintenance. 
  • Meets with designers and others at showroom and by appointment. 
  • Sets up tower displays, counter racks, etc. and follows up with clients on a regular basis, keeping the working relationship thriving and constant. 
  • Always looking for new venues to promote our company and product, the RSS uses his/her resources to find new ways to bring sales to the Territory Manager and company. 
  • This position requires an entrepreneurial spirit, knowledge and understanding of our products, and excellent communication and marketing skills.
Requirements

 Qualifications: 

  • Undergraduate degree in business or related field preferred but not required
  • At least 2 yrs. min experience within the region, ideally building/interior products
  • Direct experience working with certified fabricators, retail, kitchen and bath (K&B) dealers, designers, remodelers, Lowe’s & The Home Depot stores and architects/designers preferred

Physical Demands: 

  • Requires sitting at a desk working on a computer approximately one day a week (20% of the time) and traveling to accounts four days per week (80% of the time)
  • Requires the ability to lift up to 60lbs. This requirement relates to lifting of samples, towers, tower/display set up and stocking      & restocking towers/displays
  • Regular and reliable attendance required
  • Customer events may be required
  • Travel out of state 3-4 times per year to support company trade shows and/or events.  

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in business or related field preferred but not required
