Description

Our MST Program Management Office (PMO) supports security upgrades and installations around the world. We are looking for an experienced Senior Remote Support Engineer to join our growing team. This position requires significant technical and programming experience. This position will have the primary responsibility of programming assigned strategic accounts. This position will also be the main contact point for testing with remote technicians. The position also has the responsibility of providing operational status and guidance to the company’s internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent quality and meeting of project schedules.

Primary Purpose and Function 
The Field Support Engineer position is a senior technical role who has the 
overall responsibility for the programming and commissioning of projects as well as 
providing senior level technical support for the operations team. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities 
•    Provide Quality assurance audits for all complex and enterprise implementations. 
•    Acts as the local resource or subject matter expert for the Program and Project managers. 
•    Support Project Managers and field technicians on large or complex projects. 
•    Oversight and review of device schedules and drawings for complex designs. 
•    Support field service technicians with difficult service calls.  
•    Support complex projects with programming support, troubleshooting assistance and commissioning assistance. 
•    Assist PMs with IT coordination and implementation. 
•    Provide support, guidance and instruction, when necessary, on implementation of integrated systems and custom database integrations. 
•    Overnight stay and travel while performing duties at remote job locations and job training when required. 
•    Perform new technology evaluations and tests. 
•    Assist Project managers with system commissioning support as needed.
•    Performing customer training

Job Knowledge and Required Skills 
•    Effective communication skills including the ability to ask probing questions and detect unstated assumptions.  
•    Possession of valid state issued driver’s license. 
•    Meet State qualifications alarm licensing and electronics security personnel as required. 
•    Effective presentation skills. 
•    Comprehensive understanding of installation methods, best practices, and procedures. 
•    Good understanding of Building code, Life Safety code, and NEC. 
•    Understanding of relational databases. 
•    Able to read and understand blueprints and technical diagrams. 
•    Excellent knowledge of field devices and applications. 
•    Understanding of electronics and troubleshooting methods. 
•    Understanding of electronic security technology and system design. 
•    Understanding of Cyber Security and IT.  
•    Ability to operate in multiple Windows environments and configure settings adjustments as required. 
•    Full understanding of network topology.
•    Full and comprehensive knowledge of the Genetec platform (Cloud and on premise)
•    Understanding and certification of all platforms installed and serviced by the company - Milestone, RS2, Feenics, LenelS2, OpenEye, Avigilon, Exacqvision, 2N, and Bosch intrusion (within 1 year). 
•    Good understanding of development of sequence of operation documents. 
•    Excellent organizational and prioritization skills. 
•    Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostics ability. 
•    Ability to proactively research technical documentation online. 
•    10-15 Years direct industry experience preferred.  
•    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 
•    Ability to identify value add propositions. 
•    Effectively use basic office software such as Bluebeam, ConnectWise, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
