Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Engineering Intern to join our engineering team. As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work closely with our development team to support the creation and maintenance of Hart's healthcare data management platform. This role offers hands-on experience in software development while contributing to meaningful healthcare technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the engineering team on development of healthcare data management solutions
- Write clean, maintainable code for production applications
- Support the integration of disparate healthcare data sources
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
- Debug and resolve software issues
- Contribute to documentation and testing efforts
- Document and propose process improvements
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms
- Proficiency in at least one programming language
- Basic understanding of version control systems (Git)
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to deliver objective insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented and ability to multitask
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous project experience (personal, academic, or professional)
- Familiarity with web development technologies
- Experience with healthcare data systems
- Knowledge of databases and SQL
- Understanding of data privacy and security principles
