About the role:

The Business Development Officer Responsible for conducting market research to identify business opportunities and developing strategies for growth, focusing on increasing membership, deposits, loans, business services, and Primary Financial Institution (PFI) members in alignment with established goals. It includes building and maintaining strong relationships with retail and business clients and developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets. Additionally, the role involves planning and executing multiple in-branch events with the branch team to drive growth in membership, deposits, and loans, maintaining continual contact with Select Employee Group representatives and community charter groups, and contributing to improving the retention of member accounts and increasing the number of services per member within the assigned branch and district.

Requirements

A day in the life of the Business Development Officer will include:

  • Conducting market research to identify potential business opportunities, trends, and competitive landscape. Analyzing data to develop strategies for business growth and expansion.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective retail and business clients. Ensuring high levels of client satisfaction through regular communication and personalized service.
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets. Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to increase the credit union’s market share.
  • Collaborating with product development teams to design and enhance banking products and services tailored to business clients. Developing promotional campaigns to increase product adoption.
  • Representing the credit union at business and community events. Building a network of contacts to generate leads and referrals for business development. Mentoring, coaching, and collaborating with assigned branches to develop sales strategies aimed at increasing membership, loans, and deposits.
  • Organizing and conducting events with Select Employee Groups and organizations within LFCU's community charters to introduce the Credit Union to potential members and create opportunities for membership sign-up.

Experience and Education

  • Five to eight years of similar or related experience. High School education or GED

Pay:  $58,740  $70,000  annually depending on experience and qualifications.
