This position of Senior Pricing Manager primarily supports the Atlas Retail Energy brand (ARE) in a team-based environment. 


Job Overview

Role will be responsible for leading pricing and contracting processes for our clientele and aiding in operational excellence and development with the ARE team and where needed the greater PPM organization. Responsibilities include leading the request for pricing (RFP) process from start to finish, building relationships with third party suppliers, and managing data within our CRM. This position is in office full-time or hybrid preferred but will consider remote candidates. 

Requirements


Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in all pricing requests for new and existing clients 
  • Curation of Request for Pricing (RFP)
  • Verification of electricity and natural gas account level data
  • Responsible for providing the correct utility letters of authorization to sales staff
  • Collect and verify third party supplier pricing
  • Electricity and natural gas third party supplier interaction
  • Facilitation of contract negotiation 
  • Supporting sales staff in energy strategy recommendations
  • Managing RFP contact distribution lists
  • CRM data management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Economics, Finance, or similar
  • 5+ yrs. of retail energy experience required. 8+ years preferred
  • Deep knowledge of deregulated energy markets across the US and Canada
  • Knowledge of third-party suppliers in various deregulated regions 
  • Proven knowledge of deregulated utility requirements:

           o Letters of Authorization

           o Enrollment timelines

           o Standard third-party supply contract language

  • Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel, energy analytics, and commodity markets
  • Understanding of ISO cost components (Capacity, DASI, RMR, RPS, NITS, CES, etc.), and their changing impact on pricing.
  • Green Energy Procurement (RECs, BTM Solar, Comm Solar, PPAs, etc.) experience a plus
  • Proven ability to come up with unique and creative solutions to complex problems
