Description

JOB SUMMARY: Answer telephone in an enthusiastic, courteous and professional manner. Direct calls to appropriate personnel. 


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Data Entry and Chart Administration
  2. Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments as necessary.   
  3. Track all relevant patient information and make necessary notations and changes in computer system.
  4. Answer telephone calls promptly. Address the patient’s concern in calling. Direct all calls to appropriate personnel. 
  5. Identify emergency calls and route to triage.
  6. Create patient communications for staff members and physicians as necessary.
  7. Consistent Patient Follow-Up
  8. Reschedule missed appointments.
  9. Referrals 
  10. Consistently monitor the shared fax folder and route incoming document to recipient or schedule patient appropriately
  11. Upload documents into our EHR


Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Experience in customer service helpful.
  3. Nextgen experience preferred. 
  4. Previous high volume call center experience required. 

To be successful in this position you need to posses, excellent customer service and communication skills.  Have a strong background in data entry.  You will need to be able to work as a member of our call center team.  Manage multiple tasks simultaneously (for example: talk on the phone and input data into our EHR at the same time).  Empathetic with patients’ needs and concerns.  You must pay great attention to detail.  Treat all patients, coworkers and physicians with respect.  Maintain patient confidentially at all times.
