JOB TITLE: Grants and Research Manager

REPORTS TO: Chief Development Officer

FLSA TYPE: Full Time, Non-Exempt

WORK LOCATION: Association Office


JOB PURPOSE:

The Grants and Research Manager, under direct supervision of the Chief Development Officer, will initiate and oversee grant writing and monitoring opportunities as well as direct outcome measurement for the Association. They will manage strategic research efforts including execution and analysis of survey data from members, participants, staff and community members. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (not a complete list):

  • Seek out opportunities for grants and funding sources that are applicable to YMCA programs and services.
  • Manage research and data collection for Association including creation, execution and analysis of surveys.
  • Write grants for programs, services, or capital projects Association-wide, collect outcomes and report accordingly.
  • Determine grant funding needs throughout the Association.
  • Work as a key staff person for the YMCA Annual Support Campaign and United Way’s campaign.
  • Assist in writing the annual Tulsa Area United Way allocation request.
  • Assist, when needed, in the administration of data collection for YMCA programs and services.
  • Develop and implement evaluation activities research and measure outcomes of YMCA programs.
  • Manage evaluation and grant contracts.
  • Administer and manage tracking for prospective and received grants in designates system.
  • Administer and manage the contact database for granting organizations in the designated system.
  • Assist in donor, volunteer and social responsibility events.
  • Other duties:
  • Provide support, whenever needed, to Association initiatives
  • Participate in YMCA special event projects when needed
  • Participate in the YMCA Annual Support Campaign
  • Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures regarding the prevention of abuse.
  • Report any suspected abuse, neglect, or misconduct immediately to the appropriate supervisory staff.
  • Attend mandatory training on abuse prevention, including recognizing signs of abuse, and reporting requirements.


Requirements

Required:

  • Must be 21 years old
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or will accept 48 months of equivalent experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree. 
  • 3-5 years of fundraising and development work.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Excellent writing skills and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to maintain accurate recordkeeping.
  • Ability to evaluate data and recognize trends.

Preferred:

  • CPR, First Aid, AED, Oxygen Administration certification (will provide upon employment)
  • Bilingual English and Spanish


Salary Description
$24.00-$26.00 an hour
