GENERAL SUMMARY:
This is an hourly position in Manteno, Illinois; reports to Manteno Quality Manager but with very close interaction with COI counterparts including Quality Manager, R&D Manager & FSQA Manager. Responsible for maintaining orderly records & files for supplier approval & monitoring, product specifications & quality manual references. Maintains organized files in Safety Chain Food Safety & Quality System Management portal. Compiles and maintains the technical documents required by various customers. Acts as the coordinator between our suppliers, internal Haco team: Quality, R&D, Purchasing, Production, Warehouse & Shipping team.
- SCOPE OF JOB FUNCTION
- Responsible for maintaining Product Specifications, Quality Manual references & other relevant technical references in shared drive and, Safety Chain Food Safety & Quality System Management portal.
- Prepares & maintains Organic Raw Materials & Finished Goods documentations as well as QAI certification documents to ensure that annual audit requirements are in order.
- Ensures completion of Suppler Qualification requirements including supplier desk survey report; maintain organized files to be audit ready anytime.
- Ensures that specs & pricing for new raw materials are available before item setup; updated spec for existing raw materials & packaging are on file.
- Follows up on supplier SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action) & ensures that SCAR is closed promptly, and Continuous improvement efforts are implemented by suppliers as needed.
- Reviews supplier COA to ensure that all materials received comply with approved specifications & consistent with Haco Culinary quality requirements.
- Provides timely response to customer request for technical documents: Customer Survey, Letter of Guaranty, FG Specs Sheets, 3rd Party Audit Certificate, Audit Report, CAR, COA, Cert. of Insurance etc.).
- Creates FG COA & ensures COA is sent as per customer specific requirements (portal and/or physical copies as applicable).
- Process Sample Requests, LBR (Lab Batch Request, SCR (Specs Change Request), SDR (Specs Deviation Request) with oversight from the Quality Manager, R&D Manager and/or Processing Specialist.
- Summarize Internal Audit Report/Inspections & distribute accordingly.
- Reviews action items from RM & FG Ageing reports & executes SCR, SDR, SLE, & SSR as applicable.
- Complete RM/FG ageing meeting action items in coordination with Quality Manager and/or Quality Supervisor.
- Ensures timely up-date of RM and FG Ageing reports in Teams.
- Ensures that raw materials and finished goods are properly tagged: Yellow for “MRB-On Hold” and red for “SSR” in coordination with warehouse leadership.
- Assist the Technical team during audit preparation & on actual audits including Mock Recall, Traceability & QAI Mass Balance Exercises.
- Maintains inventory of various office & lab supplies & initiate PO for replenishment as applicable.
- Maintains orderly record of department POs for purpose of invoice reconciliation.
- Digital Kosher Maintenance.
- Pictures for Quality References.
- Statistical Charts/Graphs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
- Excellent written & oral communications skills.
- Excellent computer skills MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Statistical Charts, & Data Analysis.
- A.A. course with experience in Quality Control or Product Development environment an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills & ability to interface with other departments & external suppliers & customers.
