Job Summary:
The CDL Line Run Manager oversees the daily operations of scheduled line runs, ensuring efficient, on-time service while maintaining compliance with company policies and safety standards. This role involves managing drivers, coordinating schedules, monitoring performance, and addressing service challenges to provide an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support CDL drivers assigned to line runs, ensuring adherence to schedules and routes.
- Monitor daily operations and address service delays, breakdowns, or disruptions.
- Review driver logs, hours of service (HOS), and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure buses are in optimal operating condition.
- Handle passenger complaints and service issues professionally, resolving them promptly.
- Track and report on operational performance, including on-time metrics and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and driver evaluations to reinforce company standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage staffing levels, schedules, and driver assignments to maintain service coverage.
- Support drivers in resolving payroll, route, or equipment issues.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A or B CDL with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements.
- At least 3 years of experience in transportation management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fleet management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with scheduled line runs or motorcoach operations.
- Familiarity with routing and dispatch systems.
