The Compliance Associate is responsible for supporting the Compliance Department by handling various administrative tasks, ensuring that Champions Funding remains in compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing legal and complaint logs, assisting with licensing matters, filing business documents, and providing overall administrative support for compliance-related functions. The Compliance Associate will play a key role in ensuring that business operations are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, helping to maintain Champions Funding’s strong reputation in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and update legal and complaint logs, ensuring all records are accurate, complete, and properly documented.
• Assist with licensing matters, including preparing and submitting licensing applications and renewals, ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal licensing regulations.
• Ensure that all required business filings, such as corporate and regulatory submissions, are completed on time and in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
• Organize, prepare, and file compliance-related documents for easy access during audits or regulatory inspections.
• Monitor and track compliance deadlines, ensuring that all documentation is timely and up to date.
• Assist with internal and external audits, gathering necessary documents and ensuring that the company meets compliance standards.
• Support the Compliance Department with the preparation of compliance reports, detailing activities, issues, and resolutions.
• Stay informed of changes in industry regulations and assist in implementing necessary adjustments to company procedures.
• Provide administrative support for the Compliance Manager and team, including scheduling meetings, organizing compliance-related files, and handling general correspondence.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred, but not required.
• 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or compliance-related role, preferably within the financial services or mortgage industry.
• Familiarity with business filing systems, licensing processes, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when working with legal and regulatory documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting with internal teams and external agencies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to quickly learn new software tools.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
