Content Creator (remote)
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Content Creator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a proactive professional with a strong background in creating engaging and informative content across various platforms. This role requires excellent writing, editing, and copywriting skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively within the marketing department and with field leadership. This position is remote with preference that the candidate live in the Eastern or Central time zone.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and Content Development: Conduct comprehensive research on industry-related topics to produce well-informed and relevant content. Prepare well-structured drafts using digital publishing platforms, ensuring clarity and engagement.
- Marketing Copy Creation: Develop and distribute compelling marketing copy, tailored to each brand and region, for emails, online ads, blog posts, social media posts, collateral, direct mail, website and landing pages, press releases, and more to generate sales, drive customer upsells, promote customer retention and loyalty, communicating effectively with customers and the public.
- Content Editing and Proofreading: Edit and proofread written pieces before publication, maintaining high standards for quality and accuracy.
- Content Strategy and Ideation: Identify customer needs and recommend new topics to keep content fresh and relevant.
- Collaboration: Work with Social Media Specialist, Digital Marketing Director, SEO Manager, Paid Search Manager Email Manager, Graphic Designer, digital agencies, and field leadership to develop content and copy that resonates with the market, generates leads, moves prospects to purchase, creates loyalty and builds retention.
- Website Monitoring: Review websites frequently to see if/when content should be updated for seasonality and current offers.
- Seasonal content calendar: Work with VP Marketing in maintaining and following the monthly seasonal content calendar to ensure content is most relevant to brands and regions based on seasonality.
- Customer and employee communications: Develop as needed situation-specific customer and employee communications to positively inform both of changes, enhancements/benefits, news, and educational material.
- Experience: Proven 5 years work experience as a Content Creator, Copywriter, or in a similar role. Preferably in residential services with multiple brands and locations.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g., WordPress and HubSpot) and AI content generation systems, platforms, and best practices to drive more impactful content at a rapid pace.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent writing and editing skills in English, with an ability to fact-check long-form content pieces.
- Time Management: Strong time-management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Educational Background: BS in Marketing, English, Journalism, or a relevant field.
