In this role, you'll tackle a variety of tasks including troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production periods and perform scheduled maintenance service.
  • Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
  • Prepare equipment for production teams.
  • Utilize mechanical skills for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, welding, diesel, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of maintenance activities.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to complete necessary maintenance and repairs.
  • Diagnose, rebuild, and repair vehicles and equipment, including electronics such as robotic cutters and CCTV sewer cameras.
  • Adhere to OSHA safety and health regulations.
Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of 18 years old with a High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 3 years of experience as an automotive or truck mechanic, with diesel engine experience preferred.
  • CDL A or B preferred, or the ability to obtain CDL Class A or B.
  • Positive, self-motivated, and ambitious.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and rebuilding rotating equipment (e.g., pumps, agitators).
  • Significant mechanical aptitude and prior experience with heavy machinery.
  • Knowledge of electricity, hydraulics, and welding (stick, MIG, oxy-acetylene, plasma) preferred.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, manuals, and service bulletins.
  • Strong time management and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to cover different positions/shifts and work overtime as needed.
  • Computer skills including email, Excel, and Internet Explorer are a plus.
