The primary function of the IT Clinical Analyst at Raleigh Radiology is to provide technical oversight and support all Raleigh Radiology information systems, including but not limited to the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archival and Communication System (PACS). The IT Clinical Analyst is the lead resource for clinical system integration/interface building.
The IT Clinical Analyst is responsible for coordination of activities related to the training, testing, implementation, upkeep, documentation, maintenance and repair of all equipment (hardware and software) related to the above systems. (S)he follows established protocols, policies, procedures, and specific instructions.
Acts as liaison between vendor(s), staff, Radiologists, Tele-radiology sites, Tele-hospital sites and Managed Service Providers (MSP).
Maintains equipment in proper working order to minimize downtime and/or failure.
· Responsible for training all users in proper operation of equipment either personally or through delegation.
· Maintains Standard Operating Procedures manual for reference and training purposes.
· Provides remote access to referring MD offices for order entry, images, and reports where applicable and completes training for end-users.
· Interfaces with MSP and software vendor(s) as needed.
· Responsible for the operation, maintenance and training for Radiology Information System (RIS), Picture Archival and Communication System (PACS), dictation equipment, scanners, computer software related to systems usage.
· Works closely with all Raleigh Radiology Imaging Centers, affiliated hospitals and telesites to accomplish seamless workflow.
· Participates in acquisition / replacement decisions related to computer, telephone and other non-patient care related equipment.
· Maintains on-going documentation of all issues/changes/protocols in through the IT Ticketing system and Knowledge Base.
· Holds regular meetings or has continuous dialog with affiliated practices, telehospitals, vendors, MSP(s) to ensure smooth operation of software and hardware.
· Implements policies and procedures for Raleigh Radiology IT.
· Tests or delegates testing of all upgrades/enhancements to clinical
- High School Graduation required
- Prefer college degree in business, health care administration or other business or health related degree
- Three years’ experience working in a hospital or in medical practice
