Summary
The Director, Marketing & Strategic Communications is responsible for building resources, strategies, and insights to empower our Sales teams, drive lead generation, and optimize customer engagement. This strategic role will bridge marketing and sales efforts through content creation, training, data insights, and technology, using a holistic approach to integrate and align team members, ensuring our Sales teams are equipped with the tools needed to significantly impact revenue growth. This role will also ensure messaging aligns with business goals by managing both traditional marketing campaigns and strategic public relations efforts across various channels to enhance brand reputation and drive desired outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develops and manages a range of sales-centric content, including case studies, presentations, sales decks, videos, and other collateral that directly supports sales conversations.
- Ensures content is organized and accessible, empowering the Sales team to effectively address customer pain points, objections, and stages of the buyer journey.
- Designs and delivers training materials, sales playbooks, and onboarding programs in collaboration with Sales Operations.
- Equips Sales representatives with product knowledge, value propositions, and strategies to handle objections and close deals with confidence.
- Leverages buyer intent data, CRM insights, and performance metrics to identify high-impact opportunities and inform marketing strategies that contribute to revenue goals.
- Monitors content engagement, conversion rates, and sales cycle times to refine enablement efforts and optimize marketing support.
- Manages and streamlines tools that support sales efficiency, including content management systems, CRM, and sale automation platforms, ensuring Sales representatives have easy access to resources.
- Partners closely with Sales, Product, and other internal teams to align objectives, refine messaging, and coordinate Marketing initiatives.
- Maintains cohesion between product messaging, marketing strategies, and sales objectives, driving unified goals and reinforcing brand consistency.
- Develops and executes demand-generation and lead-nurturing campaigns targeting early buyer journey stages.
- Identifies target audiences, refines sales messaging, and provides insights that support pipeline building, increase conversion rates, and shorten the sales cycle.
- Develops and executes strategies for optimal performance at industry specific trade show events and company sponsored customer engagements.
- Other duties as required.
- Proven experience in a marketing leadership role with a focus on product marketing and digital ad placement and spend is required.
- Excellent communication skills are required.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across departments are required.
- Experience with CRM systems, data analytics, and sales automation platforms is required.
- Experience with the legal/court system is preferred.
- Experience with background screening is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required. Relevant business management systems such as general ledger, HRIS, CRM, etc. is preferred. Salesforce is required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field (or equivalent, relevant job experience) is required.
- Certifications or licensure: If you do any work-related driving while at Asurint, a driver’s license and ability to maintain a driving record that is satisfactory to the company’s liability insurance carrier is required.
- Years of relevant experience: 7 to 10 years is preferred.
- Years of experience supervising: 5 to 7 years is preferred.
Working Conditions
- The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of offices, including the need for general safe workplace practices with office equipment and computers, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire regulations.
- This position is performed remotely within the United States or in an office setting in the Cleveland, Ohio headquarters, although off-site meetings in various settings may occur.
- Inside Asurint’s office environment, the noise level is usually quiet to moderate.
- In a remote setting, the employee is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure work environment, for arranging the off-site workspace in an ergonomically sound manner, and for maintaining standard Internet speeds in order to work effectively.
- In a remote setting, the employee is required to ensure that all equipment and records that are the property of Asurint but have been relocated to the off-site workplace, are maintained in a safe and secure manner and are used only for business purposes.
- The schedule is generally normal Eastern Time Zone business hours (unless otherwise communicated based on position or working location), although the employee may be required to perform work, attend meetings and events before or after normal workings hours, and occasionally on weekends and evenings.
- Some travel by personal automobile and a valid driver’s license may be required. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Ability to lift light objects (less than 20 pounds) and carry them short distances (20 feet or less) is required.
